R  in each fuel tank will fail. However, the FQIC software can make 
R  allowances for this and the system will not go degraded. 
R  B. On-Board Replaceable Memory (OBRM) Modules 3QT1 
R  A multi-pin connector plug attaches each OBRM to the FQIC. Two clips keep 
R  each of the OBRMs in position. The connector is polarised to prevent 
R  damage caused during incorrect installation. 

R  When attached to the FQIC, the OBRMs connect with the FQIC CPU board and 
R  give the microprocessor an Erasable Programable Read-Only Memory (EPROM). 
R  The FQIC uses this data to make sure that the hardware is compatible to 
R  the software and to the FQI system.

 C. FQIC - ARINC 429 Data Output
 The parameter list that follows gives the data that the FQIC sends on its ARINC 429 data bus. The list gives this data:
 -SYS, the number of the computer channel that sends the parameter
 -LAB, the label of the parameter (octal value)
 -SDI, the Source/Destination Identifier for each computer channel (01 identifies output data from the Channel 1, 10 identifies output data from the Channel 2)
 -PARAMETER DEFINITION, the parameter name
 -WORD RANGE/OPER RANGE/RESOLUTION/ACCURACY, three different types of data are shown in this column as follows:

the first identified with a 'W' and shows the maximum value of the data supplied, identified with an 'R' the resolution of the data

 -
the second has no special identification and shows the usual seviceable range of the data

 -
the third is related to the ARINC 429 Discrete Data Words. There are two conditions, 'bit status 0' or 'bit status 1'. They show the status of the data word bit for the condition given


 -UNIT, gives the unit of measurement used in the RANGE column, where applicable
 -SIG BIT, shows if a sign bit is available and its position in the data word
 -BITS, shows the number of data bits (does not include the sign bit) For BCD coded data words, the number of important data digits is shown in brackets A " " and a number show the discrete bit position in the ARINC 429 data word
 -XMSN/INTV, shows (in milliseconds) how frequently the system transmits the data
 -CODE, the codes used in this column are as follows:
 BNR = binary data word
 BCD = binary coded decimal data word
 ISO = data word coded in ISO 5 Code
 DIS = discrete data word
 HEX = hexadecimal coded

 -ALPHA CODE, not used
 -SOURCE ORIGIN/BUS NO/ATA REF/CONV, shows the source, its bus number and ATA reference, CONV is not used.
