3. Job Set-up

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the center tank is defueled (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(3)
Make sure that the access door 315AL is open.
(4)
Make sure that the access platform is in position under the main door of the left main gear.
(5)
Make sure that the main door of the left main gear (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001) is open.
(6)
Make sure that the manhole cover 147AZ is removed (Ref. TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
(7)
Make sure that the APU fuel LP valve actuator 3QF is removed (Ref. TASK 28-29-51-000-001).

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the APU Fuel LP Valve
(1)
Remove blanking plugs from the pump (26), the lines (7), (17) and (22).
(2)
Apply FUELS (Material No. 01-001) on the new O-rings (4), (9), (16) et (25).
(3)
Install the O-ring (4) on the valve (5).
(4)
Install the valve (5) on the rear spar (1). NOTE : Make sure that the valve (5) is in the closed position.

Install the washers (3) and the screws (2). Do not fully tighten at this time.
(6)
Install the O-ring (9) on the valve (5).
(7)
Install the O-ring (25) on the line (22).
(8)
Connect the lines (17) and (22) to the valve (5) and the pump (26).
(9)
Install the washers (24) and the screws (23).
(10)
Tighten the nut (11).
(11)
Install the O-ring (16) on the line (7).
(12)
Connect the line (7). CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE CENTERING SHOULDER ON THE FLANGE IS
_______ FULLY ENGAGED IN THE VALVE BORE. IF NOT THE LINE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VALVE.
(a) Connect the line (7) to the valve (5).

Install the nuts (6).
(14)
Connect the bonding strips (12) and (13) and install the bolt (14) and the nut (15).

Connect the bonding strips (18) and (19) and install the washer (20)
and the screw (21).

Install and tighten the screws (2).
(17)
Install the APU fuel LP valve actuator 3QF (Ref. TASK 28-29-51-400-001).

B. Do the operational test of the APU fuel LP valve (Ref. TASK 28-29-00-710-001).

C. Make sure that there is no leakage at the valve (5) and the connections between the lines (7), (17) and (22) and remove the container.

(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the manhole cover 147AZ (Ref. TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
