A. Preparation for Installation WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1)
Use a scraper which is not metal to clean the used sealant from the hole in the access panel (4).
(2)
Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) to clean the component interface and the adjacent area.
(3)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Shroud and Backing Plate
(1)
Install the shroud (3) on the access panel (4).
(2)
Install the backing plate (2) on the shroud (3).
(3)
Loosely install the bolts (5).

C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

(1) Adjust the shroud (3) to get DIM 'Y' equal around the coupling cap
(1) +0.5 -0.5 mm (+0.0196 -0.0196 in).
(2) Tighten the bolts (5).

(1) Apply a bead of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) in the space 'X'.
