(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

C. Fuel Configuration
(1) Make sure that there is not more than approximately 3500 kg (7716.1770 lb) of fuel in the applicable tank. If necessary, move the fuel to the opposite tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-869-001) or defuel (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).

4. Procedure

Subtask 28-24-41-020-052 R A. Removal of the LP Fuel Valve 12QM(13QM) R (1) Remove the LP fuel-valve actuator 9QG(10QG) (Ref. TASK 28-24-51-000-
001).
(2)
Put a cloth below the LP fuel valve (12).
(3)
Remove the screw (11) and the nut (9) then disconnect the end of the bonding strips (6) and (10).
(4)
Cut and discard the lockwire from the nuts (13) and (15).
(5)
Hold the connector (14) and release the nut (13) from the connector.
(6)
Slowly move the pipe assembly (1) away from the LP fuel valve (12) until fuel leakage occurs. Soak up all the fuel from the pipe with the cloth. When all the fuel has been removed, pull the pipe (1) as far as possible, away from the LP fuel valve (12).
(7)
Remove and discard the O-rings (2) and (3).
(8)
Seal the pipe (1) with a blanking cap.
(9)
Remove the bolts (5).
(10)
Remove the LP fuel valve (12) and discard the O-ring (7). Make sure that you soak up the fuel from the LP fuel valve with a cloth.
