(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
(2) Put the safety barriers in position. Subtask 28-25-44-650-050
B. Fuel Configuration
(1)
Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the applicable access panel 540AB, 640AB.
(2)
Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001):

remove 640AB.

Get access to the fuel drain valve through the applicable rear spring-loaded cover in RIB 2: FOR 31QM

through 540BZ
FOR 32QM

through 640BZ.
(4)
Install the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) (98D57004014000) to keep the spring-loaded cover open.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Fuel Drain Valve
(1)
Remove the fuel drain valve (1).
(2)
Remove and discard the O-ring (2).
(3)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
