the joint face on the front spar.
(3)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Refuel/Defuel Coupling/Cap
(1)
Apply FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) to the new O-ring (9) and the new O rings (2).
(2)
Install the O-ring (9) into the groove of the coupling connector.
(3)
Install one O-ring (2) on each bolt (1).
(4)
Remove the blanking plug from the coupling connector.
(5)
Carefully install the coupling (7) onto the coupling connector and the bolts (1) and (10).
NOTE : Sealing of the bolts will be retained if you can prevent
____
movement of the bolts.
(6) Make sure the unthreaded part of the bolts (1) and (10) does not show through the hole(s). If the unthreaded part of the bolts (1) or (10) shows, install the washer(s) retained on removal.

(7)
Install the nuts (3) and (8) on the bolts (1) and (10) and tighten by hand.
(8)
Engage a hexagon key in the end of each bolt (1) and (10) to prevent movement of the bolt. TORQUE the nuts (3) and (8) in an opposite sequence to between 60 and 70 lbf.in (0.67 and 0.79 m.daN).
(9)
Make sure that you can see a minimum of 1.5 threads from each nut (3) and (8).
(10)
Make sure that the sealing around the heads of the bolts (1) and (10) is not broken. If necessary repair the sealing (Ref. ASRM 517612).
(11)
Do a bonding check between the coupling (7) and the front spar (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(12)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(13)
Install the chain (5) onto the chain attachment lug (4). NOTE : The chain (5) is spring loaded into a protection sleeve on the
____
cap (6).
(14)
Make sure that the handle of the refuel coupling-cap (6) is in the correct position.

Make sure that these dimensions are correct:
(Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 28-25-41-991-003)
-dimension 'a' must be equal at all positions around the cap, +/-
0.5 mm (0.020 in.)
-
dimension 'x' must not be more than 1 mm (0.04 in.)
-
dimension 'y' must not be more than 1 mm (0.04 in.)
