Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the actuator (11QU).

(f)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(g)
Seal the disconnected cable in a polythene bag.
(h)
Install the actuator (11QU) (Ref. TASK 28-25-53-400-001). Do not connect the electrical connector (1) to the actuator.
(2)
If the actuator (11QU) shows the transfer defuel valve (11QM) in the closed position (see/feel indicator cross-line):
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the actuator (11QU).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(c)
Seal the disconnected cable in a polythene bag.
(3)
If the actuator (11QU) is unserviceable:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the actuator (11QU).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(c)
Seal the disconnected cable in a polythene bag.
(d)
Remove the actuator (11QU) (Ref. TASK 28-25-53-000-001).
(e)
Put the actuator (11QU) in a polythene bag and keep in a safe location.
NOTE : Keep the V-band clamp (82QM) safe. You will need it to
____ clamp the VALVE LOCKING TOOL to the mounting flange of the valve drive shaft.
(f)
Make sure that the transfer defuel valve (11QM) is in the closed position (indicator groove vertical).
(g)
Install the VALVE LOCKING TOOL (T720456) onto the face plate of the drive shaft to lock the drive shaft so that it will not turn. Make sure that the dowel (3) is correctly installed between the VALVE LOCKING TOOL and the face plate of the drive shaft. Put the V-band clamp (82QM) around the mounting flange of the drive shaft and the VALVE LOCKING TOOL and tighten the screw (2).
NOTE : The dowel (3) will stop the VALVE LOCKING TOOL from
____ rotating on the face plate of the drive shaft.
(4) Write an applicable entry in the aircraft technical logbook.

(5) Attach a warning notice (to tell persons that the transfer defuel valve (11QM) is deactivated) to:
-
the MODE SELECT switch on the panel 800VU
-
the circuit breaker 1QU in the cockpit.

(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the access panel 192MB.
(3)
Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the MLG doors (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001). Subtask 28-25-00-942-075
B. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Remove the safety barriers.
(2)
Remove the access platform(s).
(3)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
