Install the O-ring (21) on the valve (20).

Install the O-rings (12) on the valve (20).
(5)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-017) on the shaft end of the valve (20).
(6)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) on the head of the screws (2).
(7)
Install the valve (20) on the lines (11) and (14) and then on the rear spar (1).
NOTE : Make sure that the valve (20) is in the closed position.

(9) Attach the line (11) to the support (8) with the bolts (9) and the nuts (10).

Attach the line (14) to the support (18) with the bolts (16) and the nuts (17).

Tighten the nuts (13).

Connect the bonding strips (4) and (19). Install the bolts (3), the washers (5) and the nuts (6).

A. Installation of the Center Tank Defuel/Transfer Valve
(1)
Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(2)
Apply FUELS (Material No. 01-001) on the new O-rings (12) and (21).
(3)
Install the O-ring (21) on the valve (20).
(4)
Install the O-rings (12) on the valve (20).
(5)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-017) on the shaft end of the valve (20).
(6)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) on the head of the screws (2).
(7)
Install the valve (20) on the lines (11) and (14) and then on the rear spar (1).
NOTE : Make sure that the valve (20) is in the closed position.

Install the screws (2) and tighten.
(9)
Install the drive assembly (32) and the bonding lug (31).
(10)
Install the nuts (30) and tighten.
(11)
Attach the line (11) to the support (8) with the bolts (9) and the nuts (10).

(4) Remove the access platform(s).
