A. Operational Test of the Main Transfer System
(1) Do this test:

1. On the panel 40VU:

make sure that all of the fuel pump P/BSWs are released (out)

make sure that the MODE SEL P/BSW is released (out).
2. On the panel 25VU:
-
put the ANN LT switch to the TEST position
-
put the ANN LT switch to the BRT or the DIM position.
3. On the panel 40VU:On the panel 40VU:
-
make sure that all of the fuel pumpP/BSW OFF lights are on
-
make sure that the MODE SEL P/BSW MANlight is on.
-
make sure that all of the P/BSWlights come on
-
make sure that all of the P/BSWlights go back to their set configuration

push (in) the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs

Let the pumps operate for five minutes.
5.
On the panel 40VU:
-after five minutes, release (out) the CTR TK L XFR and the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs.
6.
On the ECAM SDU:
-monitor the fuel quantity indications
-the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSW FAULTlights come on momentarily and then go off
-when the P/BSW FAULT lights go off, the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 OFF lights go off.
On the ECAM SDU:
-
the indications for the LEFT pumps change from amber cross-line (pump not in operation) to green in-line (pump in operation).
On the panel 40VU:
-
the OFF light of the CTR TK L XFR P/BSW goes off.
On the ECAM SDU:
-
the indication for the CTR LH pump changes from amber cross-line (pump not in operation) to green in-line (pump in operation)
-
the fuel quantity indication for thecenter tank decreases, while the fuel quantity indication for the LH wing tank increases.
On the panel 40VU:
-
the OFF lights of the CTR TK L XFRand the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWscome on
On the ECAM SDU:
-
the fuel pump indications show amber cross-line (pumps not in operation)
-make sure that the fuel quantity indication for the LH wing tank stops increasing.

-write down the fuel quantity indications when they have become stable.

Use the fuel quanity indications (that you wrote down) to calculate the fuel transfer rate from the center tank to the LH wing tank.
8.
On the panel 40VU:
-
push (in) the R TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs
-
push (in) the CTR TK R XFR P/BSW.
9.
Let the pumps operate for five minutes.
10.
On the panel 40VU:
The transfer rate must be between 70kg/min and 106 kg/min (154 lb/min and234 lb/min).
