You must obey the safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the access door 192MB.
(2) Put an access platform in position below the refuel/defuel coupling. Subtask 28-25-00-860-067
C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft and the fuel tanker/pump unit are grounded correctly (Ref. TASK 12-34-24-869-001).
NOTE : Bonding is essential, grounding is recommended.

(2)
Make sure that the chocks do not touch the tires. The weight of the fuel can lower the aircraft and cause the chocks to catch.
(3)
Remove the refuel/defuel coupling-cap 41QM.
(4)
Make sure that the hose-coupling of the fuel tanker/pump unit is clean.
(5)
Connect the hose-coupling of the fuel tanker/pump unit to the aircraft refuel/defuel coupling.
(6)
Set the fuel tanker/pump unit to the refuel mode.
(7)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(8)
Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(9)
On the ECAM CP, push (in) the FUEL system page pushbutton switch. Make sure that the FUEL page is shown on the ECAM lower DU.
