 WARNING : OBEY THE SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN YOU DO WORK IN A FUEL TANK.

 You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.

 (2)
 Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

 B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001) .

 (2)
 Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

 (3)
 Make sure that the access platform is below the applicable access panel 540AB (640AB).

 (4)
 Make sure that the applicable access panel 540AB (640AB) is removed (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001).

 (5)
 Make sure that the applicable spring-loaded cover 540BZ (640BZ) is held open by the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) (98D57004014000).

 A. Preparation for Installation
 WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
 (1)
 Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004).

 (2)
 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (3)
 Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

 (4) Lubricate the new O-ring with FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012):

 lubricate O-ring (2)

 B. Installation of the Fuel Drain Valve
 (1)
 Remove the blanking plugs and install the O-ring (2) on the fuel drain valve (1).

 (2)
 Install the fuel drain valve (1).

 Make sure that the area is clean and clear of all tools and miscellaneous items of equipment.

 (2)
 Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) and close the applicable rear spring-loaded cover in Rib 2:
