Make sure that the main landing gear doors are open (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001) .

Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005835) is on the applicable main gear door actuator.
(5)
Make sure that the center tank access panel 148AZ is removed (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
(6)
Make sure that the refuel valve has been removed (Ref. TASK 28-25-51-000-002).

A. Preparation for Installation
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
R R (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2) Lubricate the new O-ring (14) and the new O-ring (3) with FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012).
(3) Lubricate the new O-ring (9) with FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012).
(4) Install the O-ring (14) in the groove on the face of the refuel valve canister (13).

R B. Installation of the Refuel Valve Canister 88QM
(1) Install the refuel valve canister (13) in position.
(2) Install the spacer (16) and attach with the screws (15).
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
R (4) Install the O-ring (3) in the groove in the adapter (17). Connect the elbow (17) to the refuel valve canister (13) with the bolts (1) and washers (2).

R (5) Install the O-ring (9) in the groove in the elbow (10). Connect the elbow (10) to the refuel valve canister (13) with the bolts (11) and washers (12).
(6) Use the screw (7), the washer (6) and the nut (5) to attach the bonding straps (4) and (8) to the refuel valve canister (13) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-002).

Install the center tank access panel 148AZ (Ref. TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
