A. Safety Precautions
WARNING : OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.

(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001) when you do work on the fuel system.
(2) Put the safety barriers in position. Subtask 28-25-00-010-073
B. Get Access
(1) Put the access platform in position below the applicable
refuel/defuel cap.
4. Procedure

A. Deactivation of the Refuel/Defuel Cap
(1)
Release the refuel/defuel cap (4) from the refuel/defuel coupling.
(2)
Examine the refuel/defuel coupling for fuel leaks. No leaks are permitted.
(3)
Remove the screw (1) and the attachment lug (2). NOTE : The chain (3) is spring-loaded into a protection sleeve on the
____
cap (4).
(4)
Remove the refuel/defuel cap (4) and the chain (3) from the refuel/defuel coupling.
(5)
Write in the aircraft technical log that the cap (4) has been removed.

A. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Remove the safety barriers.
(3)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
(5)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
