D. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Set the fuel tanker/pump unit to the defuel mode.
(2)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3)
Energize the Electronic Centralized Aircraft Monitoring (ECAM) system (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4)
On the ECAM CP, push (in) the FUEL system page pushbutton switch (P/BSW).

A. Preparation for Test
(1) Do this test:

-put the TEST switch to the LTS - the HI LVL lights and the DEFUEL XFR position and hold it there OPEN light are on.
On the preselector 5QT:

the PRESELECTED and ACTUAL displays show all eights
-
the CKPT and END lights come on.
On the indicator 6QT:
-
the FUEL QTY displays show all eights.
-release the TEST switch. On the panel 800VU:
-
the HI LVL lights and the DEFUEL XFR OPEN light go back to their initial condition.
On the preselector 5QT:
-
the CKPT and END lights go off
-
the PRESELECTED and ACTUAL displays show the tank quantities.
On the indicator 6QT:
-
the FUEL QTY displays show the tank quantities.

B. Operational Test of the Defuel System
(1) Do this test:

1. On the panel 800VU:
-make sure that the REFUEL VALVES switches are in the NORM and guarded position
-put the MODE SELECT switch to the DEFUEL XFR position.
2. On the panel 40VU:
-release (out) the MODE SEL P/BSW
-push (in) the X FEED P/BSW.
3. On the panel 40VU:
-push (in) the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs.
On the panel 800VU:
-
the OPEN light comes on.
On the panel 40VU:
-
the P/BSW MAN light comes on
-
the P/BSW ON and OPEN LIGHTS come on.
On the ECAM lower DU:
-
the cross-feed valve is shown open (in-line green).
On the panel 40VU:
-
the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs FAULTlegends come on momentarily
-
the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs OFF legends go off.
On the ECAM lower DU:
-
the LEFT pump display shows pumps on (in-line green)
-
the numbers on the LEFT and the FOB fuel quantity displays decrease.
On the indicator 6QT:
-
the numbers on the LEFT FUEL QTY display decrease.

4. On the panel 40VU: - release (out) the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs. On the panel 40VU:- the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs OFFlegends come on.
On the ECAM lower DU:
- the LEFT pump display shows off (cross-line amber) - the numbers on the LEFT and the FOB
fuel quantity displays become stable.
On the indicator 6QT: - the numbers on the LEFT FUEL QTY display become stable.
On the preselector 5QT: - the numbers on the ACTUAL display become stable.
5. On the panel 40VU: - push (in) the R TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs. On the panel 40VU:- the R TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs FAULTlegends come on momentarily - the R TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSWs OFF legends go off.
