CONTROL STAND COVERS, SEALS AND LIGHTPLATES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General

 A.  This procedure has two tasks, to remove and install the control stand covers, seals and lightplates.

 (1)  
Remove hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).

 (2)  
Put the thrust levers in the IDLE position.

Put the start levers in the CUTOFF position.

 (4)
Put a protective cover on the Aft Electronics Panel, P8.


 NOTE: This will prevent damage to the switches and the glass
____ surfaces of the indicators and the displays.

 (5)  Do these steps to remove the covers, seals, and lightplates (Fig. 401):
 (a)  Remove the stabilizer trim control wheels: 1) Remove the bolt from the left stabilizer trim control wheel. 2) Remove the left stabilizer trim control wheel from the spline shaft. 3) Remove the bolt from the right stabilizer trim control wheel.
 4)  Remove the right stabilizer trim control wheel from the spline shaft.

Remove the aft guard plate: 1) Remove the two screws from the aft guard plate. 2) Remove the aft guard plate.

 (c)  
Remove the start lever cover and the dust seals: 1) Remove the two screws from the start lever cover and the

 dust covers.
 2) Remove the start lever cover and the dust seals.


 (d)  
Remove the aft thrust lever stop: 1) Remove the three screws from the aft thrust lever stop. 2) Remove the aft thrust lever stop.
