 (28) Cut the lockwire and remove the nut (3, Fig. 404) from the left control shaft.

 CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU PUSH THE LEFT CONTROL SHAFT. THE KEY (9, FIG. 406) IS LOOSE AND YOU COULD CAUSE THE KEY TO FALL.

 Push the left control shaft clear of the control stand with the dowel (5, Fig. 406).

 Remove the thrust lever assembly:

 (a)  
Pull the dowel to the left until you can lift the thrust lever assembly from the control stand. 1) Use a dowel on the right side of the control stand to hold

 the right start lever and the thrust lever which is not being removed.

 (b)
Tag the position of the spacers which are being removed.

 


 NOTE: The position and the thickness of the spacers are
____ not always the same in different control stands.
