 Install the left and right upper side doors (5).

 (31) Adjust the stabilizer trim chain as follows (Fig. 402):
 (a)  In the lower nose compartment, adjust the support links to the lower forward mechanism.
 NOTE: This will tighten the stabilizer trim chain.

Adjust the chain so that a 5 pound force will move the chain

 0.25 +0.07/-0.07 inch at a point 4.5 +1.0/-1.0 inches above the forward tangent of the forward mechanism sprocket.

 (c)  
Make sure that the dimension A of the forward and aft support links align within +0.06/-0.06 inch.

 (d)  
Make sure that the control wheels turn freely.

 Make sure that the indicator position for stabilizer trim agrees with the position of the stabilizer.

 follows: a) Disconnect the upper end of the lower control rod from the idler link. b) Loosen the checknut and adjust the rod end until the rod end bolt fits freely with the rig pin installed. c) Install the rod end bolt with the washer below the
 bolthead. d) Put the washer and locknut on the bolt. e) Tighten the checknut on the rod end. f) Make sure that you can see the rod end in the
