Make sure the thrust levers are not damaged and are correctly
 installed in the control stand.

Make sure the engine start levers are not damaged and are correctly

(3)  S 216-046-C00Make sure the engine control cables around the control drums under the thrust levers are not damaged and are correctly installed.
 (4)  S 216-047-C00Make sure the engine start cables around the start drums under the start levers are not damaged and are correctly installed.
 (5)  S 216-048-C00Make sure the autothrottle torque switch mechanism is not damaged and is correctly installed.
 (6)  S 216-049-C00Make sure the engine control cables are correctly installed around the upper and lower quadrants in the autothrottle mechanism.
 (7)  S 216-050-C00Make sure the engine control cables and the start control cables are correctly installed and are not damaged (AMM 20-20-31/601). (a) Make sure the idle pulleys and the 90 degree turn out pulleys are not damaged and are correctly installed.
 (8)  S 216-051-C00Make sure the strut drum control box is not damaged and is correctly installed. (a) Make sure the thrust control cables are correctly installed to the drum on the strut control box.
 (9)  S 216-052-C00Make sure the fuel shutoff assembly is not damaged and is correctly installed. (a) Make sure the start control cables are correctly installed to the quadrant on the fuel shutoff assembly.

 (10) Make sure the engine control cables are correctly adjusted.
 (a)  
Move the forward thrust levers rearward to the idle stop in the control stand.

 (b)  
Install the rig pin 3 (F70207-23) in the autothrottle mechanism.

 (c)  
Install the rig pin 2 (F70207-8) through the IDLE hole in the strut control box and in the throttle gearshaft.

(d)  
Make sure the tension force on the engine control cables (T1A/T1B/T2A/T2B) for the two loops (for each engine) is in the limits permitted for the ambient temperature (AMM 76-11-00/501). 1) The first loop is between the drums for the thrust lever

 and the autothrottle mechanism. 2) The second loop is between the drums on the autothrottle mechanism and the strut control box.

 (e)  
Do the procedure to adjust the engine control cables for these conditions (AMM 76-11-00/501): 1) You cannot install the rig pins. 2) You cannot turn the rig pins freely when you install them. 3) The tension force is more than 5 pounds from the correct

 value.

 (f)  
Remove all the rig pins.

 (11) Make sure the engine start cables are correctly adjusted.
 (a)  
Move the start levers to the CUTOFF detent.

 (b)  
Make sure the tension force on the start control cable ESS1A and ESS2B is in the limits permitted for the ambient temperature (AMM 76-11-00/501).

 (c)  
Make sure the force (at the start lever knob) to move the start lever from the detent is 4-8 pounds.
