Turn the long control shaft until the keyway is at the top.

 Install the cup washer.


 NOTE: Align the key tab on the cup washer with the keyway on

 Install the right control shaft nut on the long control shaft.

 Tighten the control shaft nut to 100-150 inch-pounds.

 Bend the cup washer flange with a lockwasher break tool to hold the control shaft nut.


 D.  Install the short control shaft, the flap lever and the stabilizer trim indicator.

Remove the nut and the cup washer from the right end of the short control shaft.

Install the flap lever, the stabilizer trim indicator, the spacer, and the short control shaft as a unit.

Install the cable on the flap lever drum.

 (4)  
Turn the short control shaft until the keyway is at the top.
