(1) Do these steps to install the covers, seals and lightplates.
(a)
Install the cover assemblies (5, Fig. 401) on the control stand.
(b)
Install the horn cutout switch (16, Fig. 401).
(c)
Install the forward and aft cover angles (6 and 8, Fig. 402) on the control stand.
(d)
Install the forward and aft cover tie straps (4 and 2).
(e)
Install the fire control module (15, Fig. 401) for the engine and the APU in the aft electronics control panel (AMM 26-21-51/401).
(f)
Install the left and right upper side doors (6).
(g)
Install the right control wheel (7) on the spline shaft (2).
NOTE: Handles on control wheels must be 90 (|15)
____ degrees apart when installed on the control stand.
(h) Install the tie rod (8) and attach with the tie rod nut (1) at each end.
NOTE: It is recommended that you discard the old tie rod
____ nuts and replace with new tie rod nuts.
1) Tighten the tie rod nuts to 60-70 inch-pounds (6.8-7.9 newton-meters).
NOTE: Make sure at least two threads on the tie rod
____ show after you tighten the tie rod nut.

(2) Supply hydraulic power if it is necessary (AMM 29-15-00/201)
