2) ENGINES WITH A FUEL SHUTOFF CABLE WITHOUT AN ADJUSTABLE CLEVIS END; Do these steps: a) Remove the two bolts and washers from the top of the
fuel control box. b) Install one or two shims between the cable support plate and the fuel shutoff control box.
NOTE: These 0.063 inch thick shims will change the
____ position of the sheath of the push-pull cable. This will increase the adjustment length of the cable.
1. Make sure you install the same number of shims that
_ were removed. c) Attach the cable support bracket to the top of the fuel control box with the two bolts and washers.
NOTE: If two shims are installed, make sure you
____ use 45/64+1/64 inch (17.8+0.40 mm) length bolts (part number BACB30LJ4HU5).

1. Tighten the bolts with your hand only.
_ d) Attach the clamp link to the shutoff lever with the bolt, washer and nut.
NOTE: These short bolts has part number BACB30LJ4HU4.

1. Make sure the boltheads face inboard and the nuts
_ face outboard. e) Tighten the two bolts and washers that attach the cable support bracket to the fuel control box. f) Install a lockwire to the two bolts on the cable support bracket and to the locknut on the cable.
3) ENGINES WITH A FUEL SHUTOFF CABLE WITH AN ADJUSTABLE CLEVIS END; Do these steps: a) Remove the two bolts and washers from the top of the
fuel control box. b) Attach the cable support bracket to the top of the fuel control box with the two bolts and washers.
1. Tighten the bolts with your hand only.

c) CLEVIS ENDS WITH A NAS6703U8 BOLT; Attach the fuel shutoff cable clevis to the fuel shutoff lever with the bolt, washer and nut.
NOTE: You can install the bolt so that the
____ bolthead points to or away from the engine centerline.
d) CLEVIS ENDS WITH A NAS6703U9 BOLT; Attach the fuel shutoff cable clevis to the fuel shutoff lever with the bolt, washer and nut.
NOTE: The bolt must be installed so that the
____ bolthead points away from the engine centerline.
e) Tighten the two bolts that attach the cable support bracket to the top of the fuel control box.
1. Install a lockwire to the two bolts.

(b) Connect the throttle control cable as follows (Fig. 401): 1) Remove the two bolts that attach the quick-disconnect clamp above the fuel control box. 2) Move the power lever on the fuel control box until you can
see the throttle control cable. 3) Move the two cables sideways to connect the cable. 4) Attach the quick-disconnect cable to the throttle control
cable above the fuel control box.
a) Install a lockwire to the screws.
(c) Temporarily attach the fuel control box cover to the fuel control box with the bolts and washers.

(6) S 414-028-C00Close the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).
(7) S 864-029-C00Close these circuit breakers on the circuit breaker panel P18-1. (a) AUTOTHROTTLE AC (b) AUTOTHROTTLE DC
