E. Install the splined shaft, the stabilizer trim sprocket, and the chain guard:

(1) Install the stabilizer trim chain guard.
(a)
Make sure that the cable remains in the flap lever cable drum groove.
(b)
Make sure that the No. 2 thrust lever wire bundle is enclosed in the chain guard.
(c)
Get access to the aft screw of the stabilizer trim chain guard through the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switch hole with the 90 degree No. 2 Phillips bit screwdriver.

Install the nylon flap lever cam and lockwire.

Get the stabilizer trim sprocket and the chain from the bottom of the control stand.

(4) Hold the stabilizer trim sprocket with one hand, and insert the stabilizer trim splined control wheel shaft, the bearings, and the spacers into the left end of the two hollow control shafts.
NOTE: Install the long splined end of the shaft to the right

side of the control stand.
F. Install the control stand covers, seals, and lightplates:

Install the side panels of the control stand.

Install the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switches:
(a)
Remove the plate restraint for the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switch.
(b)
Put the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switch plate in the correct position for installation.
(c)
Install the electrical cable clamps.
(d)
Install the four screws into the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switch plate.
(e)
Tighten the four screws.

(3) Install the flap lever detent, the cover, and the lightplate:
(a)
Remove the flap lever cover and the lightplate restraint.
(b)
Put the flap lever cover and the lightplate in the correct position for installation.
(c)
Install the electrical cable clamps.
(d)
Turn the flap lever cover lightplate to get access to the flap lever cover screw holes.
(e)
Install the four screws into the flap lever cover.
(f)
Tighten the four screws.
(g)
Turn the flap lever lightplate into its position.
(h)
Install the three screws into the flap lever cover lightplate.
(i)
Tighten the three screws.
(j)
Install the horn CUTOUT switch knob.
(k)
Install the flap lever 40 unit switches on the stabilizer trim sprocket chain guard (AMM 27-51-94/501).
NOTE: Make sure that the plastic insulator is installed
____ between the switch and the cable drum.
(l) Adjust the flap lever 40 unit switches (AMM 27-51-94/501).
