Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  P6 Load Control Center
 1) L IGN
 2) R IGN


 (2)  
Make sure the start levers are in the CUTOFF detent.

Remove the forward, bottom panels on the two sides of the pilot's control stand.

 (4)  
Loosen the cam adjustment screws.

 (5)  To adjust the switch cams on the start drum, move the cams in the slots to satisfy the conditions that follow: (a) All of the switches actuate when the start lever is 3 to 9 degrees in the forward direction from the cutoff position. (b) Switches must stay in the run position when you move the start lever to the IDLE detent.
 (c)  Switches must be in the cutoff position when the start lever is in the CUTOFF detent.

 (6)  Tighten the cam adjustment screws.

 (7)  Put the start levers in the CUTOFF detent.

 (8)  Do the continuity test of the switches with an ohmmeter or continuity tester as follows: (a) Make sure there is continuity with the switches in the off (deactuated) position.

 (9)  Put the start levers at the 10 degrees out of CUTOFF detent and check continuity as follows: (a) Make sure there is continuity with the switches in the on (actuated) position.
