Make sure that the dimension A of the forward and aft stabilizer trim chain support links match within +0.06/-0.06 inch.

Adjust the flap control cables, WFA and WFB (AMM 27-51-00/501).

Adjust (rig) the forward loop of the thrust control cable (AMM 76-11-00/501).

Adjust the control lever for the speed brake as follows (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Put the control lever for the speed brake in the DOWN detent.

 (b)  
Make sure that the lever latch is in the detent on the control stand.

 (c)  
In the lower nose compartment, make sure that the rig pin can be freely installed through the speed brake forward drum into the structure. 1) If you cannot install the pin easily, do the steps as

 


 follows: a) Disconnect the upper end of the lower control rod from the idler link. b) Loosen the checknut and adjust the rod end until the rod end bolt fits freely with the rig pin installed. c) Install the rod end bolt with the washer below the
 bolthead. d) Put the washer and locknut on the bolt. e) Tighten the checknut on the rod end. f) Make sure that you can see the rod end in the
 inspection hole in the control rod. g) Remove the rig pin.

Close the forward nose compartment.

 Close the electronic equipment access door No. 1201.

 Supply hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).

 With the reverse thrust levers in their stowed position (forward and down), move each forward thrust lever through its full travel.
