WARNING: DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE FOR THE THRUST REVERSER TO
_______ PREVENT THE OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

WARNING: REFER TO AMM 27-81-00/201 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE LOCK FOR
_______ THE LEADING EDGE FLAP. THE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(2) Extend the leading edge flaps and install the flap locks
(AMM 27-81-00/201).
NOTE: You must extend the leading edge flaps to get access to the
____ engine control cables between the fuselage and the strut.

(3) Open the access door, 1103L, to get to the thrust lever and the start lever drums that are below the control stand.

Open the access door, 1201L, to get access to the forward fuselage
turnbuckles and the two autothrottle mechanisms that are above the
electronic equipment shelves.

Go into the forward cargo compartment, through the forward cargo
door, 4404R, to get access to the aft fuselage turnbuckles through
the cargo compartment ceiling.

Remove the ceiling lining in the forward cargo compartment
(AMM 25-52-65/401).

Remove the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/401).
