 2)  Make sure the spacers are installed between the bearings on the flap handle.
 3)  Put the assembly on the control wheel shaft (2). Make sure the two bearings and the spacer are correctly seated and that the flap switch lever enters the cam on the flap drum.
 (g)  
Install the bolt (13) to connect the indicator link (12) to the stabilizer trim indicator.

 (h)  
Remove the right nut (1) from the right control shaft (11).

 (i)  
Attach the right frame (3) to the control stand.

 (j)  
Connect the stabilizer trim cutout switches (14).

 (k)  
Install the key (4) in the right control shaft and right control stand frame.

 (l)  
Install the nut (1) and tighten the nut to 200 to 300 pound-inches. 1) Lock the nut (1) to the frame with a wire.

 (m)  
Install the cover assemblies (5, Fig. 404) on the control stand.

 (n)  
Install the horn cutout switch (16, Fig. 403).

 (o)  
Install the forward and aft cover angles (6 and 8, Fig. 404) on the control stand.

 (p)  
Install the forward and aft cover tie straps (4 and 2).

 (q)  
Install the engine and APU fire control module (15, Fig. 403) in the aft electronics control panel (AMM 26-21-51/401).

(r)  
Install the left and right top side doors (5).

 (s)  
Install the trim control wheel for the right stabilizer (6) on the spline shaft (2).


 NOTE: Make sure the handles on the control wheels are 90 |15
____
 degrees apart.

 (t)  Install the tie rod (8) for the stabilizer trim control wheel. 1) Install the nut (7) at each end of the tie rod (8). 2) Tighten the tie rod nuts to 30-35 pound inches beyond the
 running torque.
 NOTE: Make sure there are at least two threads
____ that show after you tighten the tie rod nut.
 E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1) Do these steps to adjust the stabilizer trim chain (Fig. 402):
 (a)  
Adjust the support links in the lower nose compartment to move the forward mechanism to a lower position. This will tighten the stabilizer trim chain.

 (b)  
Adjust the chain so that a 5-pound force will move the chain

 0.25 +0.07/-0.07 inch at a point 4.5 +1.0/-1.0 inches above the forward tangent of the forward mechanism sprocket.

 (c)  
Make sure the dimension A of the forward and aft support links are the same within +0.06/-0.06 inch.

 (d)  
Make sure the stabilizer trim control wheels turn freely.

Make sure the position of the stabilizer trim indicator is the same as the position of the stabilizer. Adjust the position of the indicator, if it is necessary (AMM 27-41-00/501).

Adjust the flap control cables WFA and WFB (AMM 27-09-14/201).

Adjust the forward loop of the thrust control cable
 (AMM 76-11-04/201).

 (5)  
Connect the ESS1A, ESS1B, ESS2A,and ESS2B cables (AMM 76-11-04/201 for the location of the turnbuckles).

 (a)  Remove the clamps.

 (6)  
Adjust the engine start control cables (AMM 76-11-04/201).
