Install the penetration fitting on the (fan cowl) support beam with the bolts, washers and nuts.
NOTE: Do not apply the sealant to the interface between the
____ cable and the fitting until you have adjusted the cable.
1) You can install the bolts with the boltheads on the inside or the outside of the support beam.
(e) Install the push-pull cables in the clamp blocks. 1) Install the two feedback cables for the thrust reverser in the bottom holes of the clamp blocks. 2) Install the thrust control cable through an upper hole of the clamp blocks.
3) Install the start control cable through an upper hole of the clamp blocks.

4) Install the clamp block fasteners.
(f)
Attach the cable to the bracket of the (fan cowl) support beam with a clamp.
(g)
Put the cable in the quick-release clamps at five locations on the engine. 1) Close the clamps.
(h)
Connect the push-pull cable to the MEC fuel control box. 1) Connect the push-pull cable to the control box rack. 2) Install the disconnect clamp on the push-pull cable and the
control box.
3) Install the lockwire on the clamp screws.

(2) Install these access doors on the upper and side surfaces of the strut (AMM 12-31-91/201).

ON ENGINE NO. 1;
install the access doors, 5726, 5727, 5728, 5729 and 5731.
(b)
ON ENGINE NO. 2;
install the access doors, 5826, 5827, 5828, 5829 and 5831.

(a) Do not close the left fan cowl panel at this time.

Make sure the casing of the push-pull cable is not in a condition of tension or compression at the penetration fitting.
(a) Put the sealant around the casing where it comes through the
fitting.
1) Do this from the inside of the fan cowl support beam.

Install the forward fairing (AMM 54-32-01/401).
(8)
Install the access panels, 6301 or 6401 (AMM 12-31-71/201).
(9)
Close the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).
