 trim sprocket chain guard (AMM 27-51-94/501). 4) Remove the horn cutout switch knob. 5) Remove the three screws from the flap lever cover
 lightplate. 6) Turn the flap lever cover lightplate to get access to the
 flap lever cover screws. 7) Remove the four screws from the flap lever cover. 8) Remove the electrical cable clamps, as necessary, to permit
 the wires to loosen. 9) Remove the flap lever cover and the lightplate. 10) Apply masking tape to the surface of the flap lever
 lightplate to protect the lightplate surface.
 11) Let the flap lever cover and the lightplate hang along side the forward edge of the control stand by the electrical cable.
 12) Attach the flap lever cover and the lightplate to the control stand to prevent movement of the lightplate.
 (i)  Remove the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switches: 1) Remove the four screws from the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switch plate. 2) Apply masking tape to the surface of the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switch plate to protect the switch plate surface. 3) Remove the electrical cable clamps, as necessary, to permit
 the wires to loosen.
 4) Remove the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switch plate.

5) Let the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switch plate hang by the aft right edge of the control stand by the electrical cable. 6) Attach the stabilizer trim CUTOUT switch plate to the control stand to prevent movement of the switch plate.
 (j)  Remove the side panels.
 C.  Remove the splined shaft, the stabilizer trim sprocket, and the chain guard (Fig. 404).

Disconnect the right stabilizer trim indicator linkage arm.

Hold the stabilizer trim sprocket with one hand, and remove the
 spline shaft, bearings, and spacers from the left end of the two
 hollow control shafts.

Saftey the sprocket and the chain in the bottom of the control
 stand.

Remove the aft chain screw with a 90 degree No. 2 Phillips bit
 screwdriver.

 

 NOTE:____Get access to the aft screw of the stabilizer trim chain guard through the stabilizer trim cutout switch hole.

 (5)  Remove the two screws from the stabilizer trim chain guard.
 NOTE: Get access to the other two screws of the stabilizer trim

 chain guard through the side of the control stand.

Cut the lockwire on the nylon flap lever cam.

Remove the nylon flap lever cam.

 (8)  
Remove the stabilizer trim chain guard.
