 (1)  Rig Pin - F70207-23, part of rig pin kit F70207-93. Optional: MS 20392-3C pin (or equivalent 0.248 (+0.000/-0.002) -inch diameter, 3-inch long rod or bolt).

 D.  Remove the fuel control box (Fig. 401).

 (1)  Open these circuit breakers on the circuit breaker panel P18-1 and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags.

 (2)  Move the forward thrust lever to approximately 20° thrust lever angle (TLA).

Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

Install the rig pin through the R rig pin hole in the fuel control box and through the gear in the fuel control box.

 NOTE: This positions the push-pull cable-to-MEC control box rack
____ connection so that the cable can be easily disconnected.

 (5)  Do these steps to disconnect the thrust control push-pull cables:
 NOTE:____There are two thrust control push-pull cables. They are the throttle control cable and fuel shutoff cable.
 (a)  Disconnect the throttle control push-pull cable as follows (Fig. 401): 1) Move the throttle control cable untul you can see the inner
 disconnect point.
 NOTE: To move the cable, pull up on the cable until
____ you can see the disconnect point.
 2)  Loosen the two screws and remove the quick disconnect clamp for the throttle control cable above the fuel control box.
 NOTE: The two screws are captive.

 3) Disconnect the inner control cables. a) To disconnect the cables, move the inner control cables apart sideways. 4) Temporarily install the quick disconnect clamp on the throttle clamp.

(b)  
Remove the two bolts and washers that attach the cover on the right side of the fuel control box (Fig. 402). 1) Keep the bolts and washers for the installation.

 (c)  
ENGINES WITH A FUEL SHUTOFF CABLE WITHOUT AN ADJUSTABLE CLEVIS END; Disconnect the fuel shutoff cable as follows (Fig. 402): 1) Remove the bolt, the washer, and nut that attach the fuel

 shutoff cable clamp links to the fuel shutoff lever.
 NOTE: Do not disconnect the bolt, washer and nut at
____ the top location that attach the clamp links to the fuel shutoff cable.
 2)  Disconnect the cable clamp links from the fuel shutoff lever.
 3)  Temporarily install the bolt, washer, and nut on the fuel shutoff cable clamp links.
 4)  Remove the two bolts and washers that attach the cable support bracket to the top of the fuel control box.
 5)  Remove the shim(s), if installed, and keep them for the installation procedure.
 6)  Temporarily install the bolts and washers on the top of the fuel control box.
