 NOTE:____ Make sure the lamps, spacers, or readouts do not fall into the ISDU.

 (4)  Replace the decimal/degree/minute lamp: (a) Hold the lamp at the base with the removal tool and pull straight out to remove it.
 NOTE:____ If you use tweezers, be careful because the lamps will break easily if you use too much pressure.
 (b) (c) (d) (e)  Remove and keep the spacer from the lamp.Make sure the wires on the new lamp are straight.Install the spacer.Carefully install the lamp.

 (5)  Replace the numeric/alphanumeric readout lamp: (a) Hold the perimeter of the readout lamp with the removal tool and pull straight out to remove it. (b) Push the new readout lamp into its position. 1) Make sure the dimple indicator on the lamp is in the top left corner.

 (6)  Install the transparent window filter assembly: (a) Tighten the two captive screws that hold the window assembly to the ISDU.

 IRS MODE SELECT UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  There are two tasks in this subject. The first task is for the removal of the IRS Mode Select Unit (MSU). The second task is for the installation of the IRS MSU.
 B.  The MSU is installed on the pilot's P5 overhead panel.
 C.  Each mode select switch has mechanically locked positions. The mechanically locked positions prevent accidental movement of the switch. In a mechanically locked position, pull the switch away from the unit and set the switch to a different position. This prevents damage to the switch.
 (1)  
In the NAV position, pull the switch away from the unit and set the switch to the ATT position.

 (2)  
In the ATT position, pull the switch away from the unit and set the switch to the NAV position.

 (3)  
In the ALIGN position, pull the switch away from the unit and set the switch to the OFF position.

 (a) Release the fasteners on the front of the MSU.
