 (1)  
Set the LRRA altitude simulator to permit the radio altitude in the two radio altimeters to be changed.

Set the signal generator to permit the glide slope deviation signals to be changed.

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:

Instrument Transformers 1 and 2

 (b)  
IRS 1 and 2

 (c)  
DAA 1 and 2

 (d)  
Captain's and First Officer's Compass Transformers (altn)

 (e)  
VOR/LOC-1 and VOR/LOC-2

 (f)  
GS-1 and SG-2

 (g)  
Captain's and First Officer's Comparators

 (h)  
Instrument Transfer

 (i)  
Autopilot

 (j)  
Radio Altimeter

 (4)  Set the IRS mode selectors to NAV mode.
 (a) Make sure the IRS aligns to the airplane heading.
 NOTE: The lights on the captain's and the first officer's
____ instrument comparator panels must be off.

 S 725-025
 (2)  Perform the Compass (HDG) Comparison Test
 (a)  
Set the HDG mode on the DFCS mode control panel
 (AMM 22-11-00/501).


 (b)  
Set the left IRS mode selector to ATT.

 (c)  
Set a heading 8° greater than the airplane heading. 1) Make sure the HDG lights come on in less than 10 seconds.

 (d)  
Set a heading 4° greater than the airplane heading.
 1) Make sure the HDG lights do not come on.


 (e)  
Set the APP mode on the DFCS mode control panel.

 (f)  
Turn the two VHF NAV receivers to 108.10 MHz.

 (g)  
Provide zero glide slope and localizer deviation signals to the two VHF NAV receivers.

 (h)  
Set the left IRS mode selector to ATT.

 (i)  
Set a heading 6° greater than the airplane heading. 1) The HDG lights must come on in less than 10 seconds.

 (j)  
Set a heading 3° greater than the airplane heading.
 1) The HDG lights must not come on.


 (k)  
Set the autopilot to the HDG mode.

 (3)  Perform the Attitude (PITCH/ROLL) Comparison Test
 (a)  The pitch and roll functions shall be checked in the inertial reference system (AMM 34-28-00/501).

 (4)  Perform the Localizer (LOC) Comparison Test
 (a)  
Make sure that the VHF NAV Transfer switch is set to the NORMAL position.

 (b)  
Set the two VHF NAV receivers to 108.10 MHz.

 (c)  
Apply 1 dot UP and 1 dot LEFT signals from the NAV 401L test set. 1) Make sure the LOC and GS anunciator lights are off. 2) Make sure the NAV and GS flags on the two HSI's are out of

 view.


 (d)  
Hold the TEST switch on the captain's VHF NAV control panel in the UP-LEFT position. 1) Decrease the localizer deviation signal from the test set

 slowly to zero. 2) Make sure the LOC annunciator lights come on at approximately 1/4 dot LEFT deviation.

 (e)  
Release the TEST switch.
 1) Make sure the LOC annunciator lights go off.


 (f)  
Again, set the localizer deviation from the test set to 1 dot LEFT.

 (g)  
Make sure the LOC annunciator lights stay off.

 (h)  
Hold the TEST switch on the first officer's VHF NAV control panel in the UP-LEFT position.
