 A. General
 (1)
The system test is a full test of the IRS.

Five Minute Time Delay Check

Align the IRS if it is not already aligned (AMM 34-28-00/201).

Do these steps to do the IRU orientation test.


 (a)  Compare the magnetic heading shown on the captain's HSI with the magnetic heading shown on the standby magnetic compass. 1) Make sure that the values agree | 30 degrees.
 NOTE: A magnetic field interference, like a hangar, can

 (b)  Compare the magnetic heading on the first officer's HSI with the magnetic heading on the standby magnetic compass. 1) Make sure that the values agree | 30 degrees.

 C. Digital Air Data Computer (DADC) Interface Test

 (1)  
Close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6-1 Electronic System F/O Circuit Breaker Panel 1) N0. 2 AIR DATA AC 2) NO. 2 AIR DATA DC

 (b)  
P18-1 Electronic System Captain Circuit Breaker Panel 1) TAT IND

 (c)  
P18-2 Electronic System Captain Circuit Breaker Panel 1) NO. 1 AIR DATA AC 2) NO. 1 AIR DATA DC

 

 (2)
Align the IRS if it is not already aligned (AMM 34-28-00/201).

 (3)  Do these steps to do the DADC test.
 (a)  
Set the SYS DSPL switch on the ISDU to the L position.

 (b)  
Set the DSPL SEL switch on the ISDU to the WIND position. 1) Make sure that the right ISDU display reads 100 |2 knots.

 (c)  
Open the No. 1 AIR DATA AC circuit breaker on the P18-2 panel. 1) Make sure that the left ISDU display turns off.

 (d)  
Close the No. 1 AIR DATA AC circuit breaker on the P18-2 panel.

 (e)  
Set the SYS DSPL switch on the ISDU to the to R position.

 (f)  
Set the DSPL SEL switch on the ISDU to the WIND position. 1) Make sure that the right ISDU display reads 100 |2 knots.

 (g)  
Open the No. 2 AIR DATA AC circuit breaker on the P6-1 panel. 1) Make sure that the left ISDU display turns off.

 (h)  
Close the No. 2 AIR DATA AC circuit breaker on the P6-1 panel.


 D. Master Dim and Test

 (1)
Align the IRS if it is not already aligned (AMM 34-28-00/201).

Do these steps to do the master dim and test procedure.


 CAUTION:_______SOME SWITCHES MUST BE PULLED AND THEN TURNED. IF YOU TRY TO TURN THESE SWITCHES BEFORE YOU PULL THEM, YOU CAN DAMAGE THEM.
 (a)  
Set the switches on the MSU to the ALIGN position.

 (b)  
Set the DSPL SEL switch on the ISDU to the PPOS position.

 (c)  
Turn the inner DSPL SEL switch (BR) on the ISDU clockwise.

 (d)  
Set and hold the DIM and TEST switch on the pilot's center instrument panel to the TEST position. 1) Make sure that all of the lights on ISDU turn on.
