Set the VHF NAV transfer switch to the NORMAL position.
(x)
Open this circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) VOR/LOC-2

Make sure the navigation warning flags show on the two HSIs.
(z)
Make sure the wide pointer flags show on the two RDDMIs. (aa) Make sure the narrow pointer flags on the two RDDMIs are out of view. (ab) Close this circuit breaker: 1) P6 Load Control Center - Right a) VOR/LOC-2 (ac) Make sure the navigation warning flags on the two HSIs are out
of view. (ad) Make sure the pointer flags on the two RDDMIs are out of view.
H. VHF NAV Transfer Switch Test

(1) Do the VHF NAV transfer switch test:
(a)
Do the prepare for the operational test.
(b)
Set the VHF NAV transfer switch to the BOTH ON 1 position.
(c)
Do the self-test for system No. 1.
1) Make sure the captain's and the first officer's self-test displays are the same.
(d)
Set the VHF NAV transfer switch to the BOTH ON 2 position.
(e)
Do the self-test for system No. 2.
1) Make sure the captain's and the first officer's self-test displays are the same.
(f)
Set the VHF NAV transfer switch to the NORMAL position.
(g)
Make sure the system annunciator on the captain's HSI shows 1.
(h)
Make sure the system annunciator on the first officer's HSI shows 2.
I. Heading Input Test

(1) Do the heading input test:
(a)
Do the prepare for the operational test.
(b)
Set the SYS DSPL switch on the IRS ISDU to the L position.
(c)
Hold the DSPL SEL switch in the TEST position.

Release the DSPL SEL switch.
(e)
Set the COMPASS transfer switch to the BOTH ON 1 position.
(f)
Hold the DSPL SEL switch in the TEST position.
1) Make sure the bearing pointers and the compass cards on the two RDDMIs follow the left IRS heading.
(g)
Release the DSPL SEL switch.
(h)
Set the COMPASS transfer switch to the NORMAL position.
(i)
Set the SYS DSPL switch on the IRS ISDU to the R position.
(j)
Hold the DSPL SEL switch on the IRS ISDU in the TEST position.
1) Make sure the bearing pointers and the compass cards on the two RDDMIs follow the right IRS heading.
(k)
Release the DSPL SEL switch.
(l)
Set the COMPASS transfer switch to the BOTH ON 2 position.
(m)
Hold the DSPL SEL switch on the IRS ISDU in the TEST position.
1) Make sure the bearing pointers and the compass cards on the two RDDMIs follow the right IRS heading.
(n)
Release the DSPL SEL switch.
(o)
Set the COMPASS transfer switch to the NORMAL position.

3. System Test - VOR/ILS Navigation System_______________________________________
A. General
(1)
The system test uses a ramp test set to supply VOR and ILS test signals. These test signals are used to do an inspection of the VOR/ILS navigation system. This task makes sure the VOR/ILS navigation system operates correctly.
