Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Supply cool air to the EFIS (AMM 21-58-02/501).

 E. IRU Orientation Test

Set the IRS TRANSFER SWITCH on the P5-28 panel to the NORMAL position.

Align the IRS if it is not already aligned (AMM 34-28-01/201).

Do these steps to do the IRU orientation test.


 (a)  Compare the magnetic heading shown on the captain's EHSI with the magnetic heading shown on the standby magnetic compass. 1) Make sure that the values agree + or - 30 degrees.

Make sure that all of the annunciators on the MSU are off.

 (b)  
Set the SYS DSPL switch on the ISDU to the L position.

 (c)  
Set the DSPL SEL switch on the ISDU to the WIND position. 1) Make sure that the right ISDU display reads 100 |2 knots.

 (d)  
Open the No. 1 AIR DATA AC circuit breaker on the P18 panel. 1) Make sure that the display on the ISDU turns off. 2) Make sure that the flag on the captain's VSI comes into

 view.


 (e)  
Set the IRS TRANSFER SWITCH on the P5-28 panel to the BOTH ON L position. 1) Make sure that the flag on the first officer's VSI comes
