Do the prepare for the operational test.

 (b)  
Set the controls on the DFCS mode select panel as follows: 1) Course counter - 000.

 a)  Make sure the course arrow on the two HSIs agree with the course counter.

 (c)  
Set a local VOR frequency on the No. 2 VHF NAV control panel.

 1)  Make sure that you hear the local VOR sound through the flight interphone system.

 (d)  
Set a frequency of 108.0 MHz on the No. 2 VHF NAV control panel. 1) Make sure the GS flag and the glide slope pointer on the

 first officer's ADI are out of view. 2) Make sure the VERT flag and the glide slope pointer on the first officer's HSI are out of view. 3) Make sure the navigation warning flag shows on the first officer's HSI. 4) Make sure the pointer flags show on the first officer's RDDMI.

 (e)  
Hold the VOR test switch on the No. 2 VHF NAV control panel in the VOR position. 1) Make sure the course deviation bar on the first officer's


 HSI is in the center.

 3 o'clock position. 6) Make sure the pointer flags show on the two RDDMIs.Hold the UP/LT test switch on the No. 2 VHF NAV control panel in the UP/LT position. 1) Make sure this sequence occurs:
 a)  These indications occur for approximately three seconds. 1 The GS flag and the RUNWAY flag show on the first
