 (j)  
Release the UP/LT test switch.

 (k)  
Hold the DN/RT test switch on the No. 2 VHF NAV control panel in the DN/RT position. 1) Make sure this sequence occurs:


 a)  These indications occur for approximately three seconds. 1 The GS flag and the RUNWAY flag show on the first
_ officer's ADI. 2 The navigation warning flag and the VERT flag show
_ on the first officer's HSI.
 b)  These indications occur after approximately three seconds. 1 The GS flag and the RUNWAY flag on the first
_ officer's ADI go out of view. 2 The navigation warning flag and the VERT flag on the
_ first officer's HSI go out of view. 3 The course deviation bar on the first officer's HSI
_ moves one dot in the right direction. 4 The runway symbol on the first officer's ADI moves
_ one dot in the right direction. 5 The glide slope pointers on the first officer's HSI
_ move one dot in the down direction. 6 The glide slope pointers on the first officer's ADI
_ move one dot in the down direction. c) These indications occur after approximately 23 seconds. 1 The GS flag and the RUNWAY flag on the first
_ officer's ADI come into view. 2 The navigation warning flag and the VERT flag on the
_ first officer's HSI come into view.
 (l)  
Release the DN/RT test switch.

 (m)  
Put the digital flight control system in the approach mode (AMM 22-11-00/501). 1) Make sure that you cannot start the VOR/ILS self-tests from


 the No. 2 VHF NAV control panel.

 (n)  Put the digital flight control system in the heading select mode (AMM 22-11-00/501).
 G.  VOR Flag Test
 S 715-014
 (1)  Do the VOR flag test:
 (a)  
Do the prepare for the operational test.

 (b)  
Set a local VOR frequency on the No. 1 and the No. 2 VHF NAV control panels. 1) Make sure the navigation warning flags on the two HSIs are

 out of view. 2) Make sure the pointer flags on the two RDDMIs are out of view.

 (c)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P18 Load Control Center - Left a) VOR/LOC-1

 (d)  
Make sure the navigation warning flag shows on the captain's HSI.

 (e)  
Make sure the navigation warning flag on the first officer's HSI is out of view.

 (f)  
Make sure the narrow pointer flags show on the two RDDMIs.

 (g)  
Make sure the wide pointer flags on the two RDDMIs are out of view.

 (h)  
Close this circuit breaker:

 1)  P18 Load Control Center - Left a) VOR/LOC-1

 (i)  
Set the VHF NAV transfer switch to the BOTH ON 1 position. 1) Make sure the navigation warning flags on the two HSIs are out of view.

 2)  Make sure the pointer flags on the two RDDMIs are out of view.

 (j)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P18 Load Control Center - Left a) VOR/LOC-1

 (k)  
Make sure the navigation warning flags show on the two HSIs.

 (l)  
Make sure the narrow pointer flags show on the two RDDMIs.

 (m)  
Make sure the wide pointer flags on the two RDDMIs are out of view.

 (n)  
Close this circuit breaker:

 1)  P18 Load Control Center - Left a) VOR/LOC-1

 (o)  
Set the VHF NAV transfer switch to the BOTH ON 2 position. 1) Make sure the navigation warning flags on the two HSIs are out of view.

 2)  Make sure the pointer flags on the two RDDMIs are out of view.

 (p)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P6 Load Control Center - Right a) VOR/LOC-2

 (q)  
Make sure the navigation warning flags show on the two HSIs.
