(e) Put the ramp test set below the airplane nose.
(f) Set the output of the ramp test set to supply a VOR test signal
at a frequency of 108.00 MHz.
(g) Adjust the attenuator control on the ramp test set to the
threshold level.
NOTE:____ The threshold level is the minimum signal level
necessary to give a navigation warning flag on the
captain's HSI. If you cannot get the threshold level,
make sure the navigation warning flag on the captain's
HSI is in view.
(h) Move the ramp test set below the airplane tail.
1) Make sure the navigation warning flag on the captain's HSI
goes out of view.
(i) Set a frequency of 108.10 MHz on the No. 1 VHF NAV control
panel.
1) Make sure the navigation warning flag shows on the
captain's HSI.
WARNING:_______DO NOT ENGAGE AUTOPILOT A OR B. THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES CAN MOVE IF YOU ENGAGE THE AUTOPILOT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(j)
Set the two F/D switches on the DFCS mode control panel to the ON position.
(k)
Put the digital flight control system in the approach mode (AMM 22-11-00/501). 1) Make sure the flight mode annunciator shows a white or
green VOR/LOC annunciation.
(l)
Set the output of the ramp test set to supply a localizer test signal at a frequency of 108.10 MHz.
(m)
Adjust the attenuator control on the ramp test set to the threshold level.
(n)
Move the ramp test set below the airplane nose.
1) Make sure the navigation warning flag on the captain's HSI goes out of view.

(o) Set the two F/D switches on the DFCS mode control panel to the
OFF position.
(p) Open this circuit breaker:
1) P18 Load Control Panel - Left
a) VOR/LOC-1
(q) Close this circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) VOR/LOC-2
(r) Set a frequency of 108.00 MHz on the No. 2 VHF NAV control
panel.
1) Make sure the navigation warning flag on the first
officer's HSI is in view.
(s) Put the ramp test set below the nose radome.
(t) Set the output of the ramp test set to supply a VOR test signal
at a frequency of 108.00 MHz.
(u) Adjust the attenuator control on the ramp test set to the
threshold level.
NOTE: The threshold level is the minumum signal level____
necessary to give a navigation warning flag on the first
officer's HSI. If you cannot get the threshold level,
make sure the navigation warning flag on the first
officer's HSI is in view.
(v) Move the ramp test set below the airplane tail.
1) Make sure the navigation warning flag on the first

(w) Set a frequency of 108.10 MHz on the No. 2 VHF NAV control
panel.
1) Make sure the navigation warning flag shows on the first
officer's HSI.
