(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are open:
(a) P6 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) COMPARATOR-MON
2) COMPARATOR-PWR

Remove the dust caps from the electrical connectors.

Examine the unit and rack connectors for unwanted materials and loose or damaged pins.

Install the comparator monitor unit (AMM 20-10-07/201).

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P6 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) COMPARATOR-MON
2) COMPARATOR-PWR

(7) Push and hold the PUSH TO TEST switch on the comparator monitor unit.
(a)
Make sure all six amber annunciator lights come on.
(b)
AIRPLANES WITH A COLLINS -002 COMPARATOR MONITOR UNIT; Make sure the red MON PWR light comes on.

Push the PUSH-TO-DIM bar.
(a) Make sure the annunciator lights dim.
(9)
Release the PUSH-TO-DIM bar.
(10)
Release the PUSH TO TEST switch.

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

INSTRUMENT COMPARATOR ANNUNCIATORS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task is to remove the instrument comparator annunciators, and the second is to install the instrument comparator annunciators.
B. The instrument comparator annunciators are installed on the captain's and the first officer's main instrument panels.

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) COMPARATOR-MON
2) COMPARATOR-PWR

Remove the screws or module retainer that attach the annunciators to the instrument panel.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the annunciator module.

(5)
Install dust caps on the electrical connectors.
