Make sure the warning flags do not show on the related flight instruments (Ref 34-28-00/501).
B. Set the flight instrument switches as follows:
(1)
Set the VHF NAV transfer switch to NORMAL.
(2)
Set the COMPASS transfer switch to NORMAL.
(3)
Set the ATTITUDE transfer switch to NORMAL.
(4)
Set the HSI transfer switches to VOR/ILS.
C. Make sure all the systems, flight instrument switching, and flight instruments that supply information to the instrument comparator system function correctly.
D. Make sure the two horizontal situation indicators show the same magnetic heading.
E. Make sure the two attitude director indicators show the same airplane attitude.
F. Make sure the ATT and HDG warning flags are out of view.
G. Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).

1. Instrument Comparator System - Operational Test

A. General
(1)
This procedure is an operational test of the Instrument Compartor System (ICS).
(2)
Instrument Comparator System (ICS) compares the output signals from these No. 1 and No. 2 systems: Inertial Reference System, Radio Altimeter, and VOR/ILS Navigation. For each of the systems, the ICS compares the No. 1 and No. 2 output signals. In each system, if the difference between the output signals is more than a specified quantity, an annunciator light will come on.
