Set the SYS DSPL switch on the ISDU to the R position.

 (h)  
Make sure that this occurs:


 1)  The ADIs do not read 5 degrees pitch up and 45 degrees roll right.

Release the DSPL SEL switch on the ISDU.

 CAUTION:_______SOME SWITCHES MUST BE PULLED AND THEN TURNED. IF YOU TRY TO TURN THESE SWITCHES BEFORE YOU PULL THEM, YOU CAN DAMAGE THEM.
 CAUTION: TURN THE TWO SWITCHES ON THE MSU TO THE OFF POSITION.
_______ FAILURE TO TURN THE SWITCHES OFF CAUSES A HORN IN THE NOSE WHEEL WELL TO START.
 (1)  
Turn the two switches on the MSU to the OFF position.

 (2)  
Set the ATTITUDE switch to the NORMAL position.

 (3)
Remove the IRU cooling if it is not necessary (AMM 21-58-00/501).

 COMPASS TRANSFER RELAY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is for the removal of a compass transfer relay. The second task is for the installation of a compass transfer relay.
 B.  The two relays are installed on the E1-2 shelf in the main equipment center. Compass transfer relay No. 2, R14, is installed above compass transfer relay No. 1, R15 (Fig. 401).
 C.  Compass transfer relay No. 1 is the same as compass transfer relay No. 2.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P6 Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) INSTR XFMR 2
 2) CAPT CMPS XFMR (ALT)
 3) DAA NO. 2 FMC
 4) DAA NO. 2 FMC AC
 5) DAA NO. 2 IRS AC
 6) DAA NO. 2 IRS DC


 (b)  
P18 Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) INSTR XFER
 2) INSTR XFMR 1
 3) F/O CMPS XFMR (ALT)
 4) DAA NO. 1 FMC
 5) DAA NO. 1 FMC AC
 6) DAA NO. 1 IRS AC
 7) DAA NO. 1 IRS DC

 


 (2)  
Remove the screws from the face of the relay.
