 (ad) 10 seconds are necessary for the maintenance monitor to operate.
 (ae) Set the autopilot TRIM CUTOUT switch on the aisle stand to CUTOUT position.
 (af) Make sure that it is not possible to engage the autopilot to the CWS or CMD mode.
 (ag) Close the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS circuit breaker on the P6-2 (or P6-3) Circuit Breaker Panel.
 (ah) Push the LSK adjacent to <INDEX to show the INIT REF INDEX 1/1 page.
 (ai) Push the LSK adjacent to MAINT> to show the MAINT BITE INDEX 1/1 page.
 (aj) Push the LSK adjacent to <DFCS to show the DFCS BITE TEST LINE MAINT 1/2 page.
 (ak) Push the LSK adjacent to <INFLIGHT FAULTS.
 (al) Make sure that these items shown on the CDU display:
 TRIM CUTOUT ENG ATT TRIM CUTOUT ENG ATT
 NOTE: Ignore all items shown on the CDU except ANG ATT as
____
 shown above.

 (am) Set the autopilot TRIM CUTOUT switch on the aisle stand to the NORMAL position.
 (an) Open the AFDS MCP DC circuit breaker on the P18-1 Circuit Breaker Panel.
 (ao) After 10 seconds, engage the autopilot channel A to the CMD mode.
 (ap) Push the HDG SEL button.
 (aq) Make sure that the HDG SEL mode is engaged.
 (ar) Open the AFDS MCP CRS-2 DC circuit breaker on the P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel.
 (as) Make sure that the autopilot channel A is disengaged.
 (at) Close the AFDS MCP DC circuit breaker on the P18-1 Circuit Breaker Panel.

 (aw) Push the HDG SEL button on the MCP.
 (ax) Make sure the HDG SEL mode is engaged.

 Breaker Panel. (az) Push the INIT/REF key on the CDU keyboard to show the POS INIT page or PERF INIT page. (ba) Push the LSK adjacent to <INDEX to show the INIT REF INDEX 1/1 page. (bb) Push the LSK adjacent to MAINT> to show the MAINT BITE INDEX 1/1 page. (bc) Push the LSK adjacent to <DFCS to show the DFCS BITE TEST LINE
 MAINT 1/2 page. (bd) Push the LSK adjacent to <INFLIGHT FAULTS. (be) Use the CDU keyboard to put code 900 into the scratchpad. (bf) Push the LSK 6R. (bg) Push the LSK adjacent to <YES. (bh) Push the LSK adjacent to <CHANNEL A AND B. (bi) Make sure the word TEST IN PROGRESS is shown on the CDU display
 for approximately 30 seconds. (bj) Make sure that NO FAILURES is shown on the CDU. (bk) Push the INIT/REF key on the CDU keyboard to get out of the
 BITE.

 (4) Remove hydraulic power if it is not necessary (AMM 29-15-00/201).

 (1)  Make sure that the left and right IRU switches are in the NAV mode (AMM 34-28-00/501).

Supply hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).

 (a)  
Set the flaps to the 0-unit position.

 (b)  
Engage the autopilot channel A in the CMD mode.

Set the flap to the 0-unit position.
