737-300/400/500MAINTENANCE MANUAL
 (a)  Open the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS on the P6-2/-3
 Circuit Breaker Panel.
 (b)  Ten seconds are necessary for the maintenance monitor to
 operate.
 NOTE: The airspeed more than 100 knots also operates the____
 maintenance monitor.
 (c)  Engage the autopilot channel A in the CMD mode.
 (d)  Push the ALT HOLD button.
 (e)  Push the HDG SEL button.
 (f)  Set the captain's flight director switch to the ON position.
 (g)  Make sure that these steps occur:
 1) The flight director command bars are in view.
 2) The COMPUTER flags are not in view.
 3) The autopilot channel A stays engaged in the CMD mode.
 (h)  Open the AFCS-A SNSR EXC AC circuit breaker on the P18-1
 Circuit Breaker Panel.
 (i)  Make sure that the autopilot is disengaged.
 (j)  Close the AFCS-A SNSR EXC AC circuit breaker on the P18-1
 Circuit Breaker Panel.
 (k)  Set the captain's flight director to the OFF position.
 (l)  Engage the autopilot channel B to the CMD mode.
 (m)  Push the ALT HOLD button.
 (n)  Push the HDG SEL button.
 (o)  Set the first officer's flight director switch to the ON
 position.
 (p)  Make sure that these steps occur:
 1) The flight director command bars are in view.
 2) The COMPUTER flags are not in view.
 3) The autopilot channel B stays engaged in the CMD mode.
 (q)  Open the AFCS-B SNSR EXC AC circuit breaker on the P6-2 Circuit
 Breaker Panel.
 (r)  Make sure that autopilot is disengaged.
 (s)  Close the AFCS-B SNSR EXC AC circuit breaker on the P6-2
 Circuit Breaker Panel.

 (t)  
Set the first officer's flight director to the OFF position.

 (u)  
Close the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS circuit breaker on the P6-2/-3 Circuit Breaker Panel.

 (v)  
Push the INIT/REF key on the CDU keyboard to show the POS INIT page or PERF INIT page.

 (w)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <INDEX to show the INIT REF INDEX 1/1 page.

 (x)  
Push the LSK adjacent to MAINT> to show the MAINT BITE INDEX 1/1 page.

 (y)  
Push the LSK adjacent to <DFCS to show the DFCS BITE TEST LINE MAINT 1/2 page.

 (z)
Push the LSK adjacent to <INFLIGHT FAULTS. (aa) Make sure that these items shown on the CDU display:


 A/C POWER A/P DISC
 A/C POWER A/P DISC

 NOTE: Ignore all items shown on the CDU except A/P DISC as
____ shown above.
 NOTE: To get the INFLIGHT FAULT SUMMARYS, put the code 300
____ into the CDU scratchpad. Push the LSK 6R. The CDU will show the flights (in the last 10 flights) which the failures occur.
 NOTE: To get the test result, put the code 100 into the
____ scratchpad. Push the LSK 6L. The CDU will show the FLT 1 INFLIGHT FAULT page. Below the LRU identification, you can find the LRU which monitor the failure.
 (ab) Push the INIT/REF key on the CDU keyboard to show the POS INIT page or PERF INIT page.
 WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT YOU PREPARE THE AIRPLANE FOR THE AIR MODE
 BEFORE YOU OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER THAT FOLLOWS.
 AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF THE AIRPLANE SYSTEMS IN THE AIR

 MODE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (ac) Open the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS circuit breaker on the P6-2 (or P6-3) Circuit Breaker Panel.
