 C. Procedure
 S 864-006
 (1)  Set the horizontal stabilizer to 3 units of trim or a B dimension of
 41.57 (|0.05) inches (Ref 27-41-00/501).

 (2) Make sure that the Mach trim actuator is in the null position.
 NOTE: The actuator is in the null position when the voltage
____ between the J6-37 and J6-1 in the FCC test connector is below 50 mvdc.

 (3)  Do these steps to install the sensor:
 (a)  
Align the index mark on the sensor housing with the index mark on the sensor shaft.

 (b)  
Install the sensor in the sensor clamp.

 (c)  
Align the index mark on the sensor with the index mark on the sensor clamp.


 NOTE: Make sure the index mark on the sensor shaft points
____
 up.

 (d)
Install the bolt, washer, and nut on the sensor clamp.

 (e)
Tighten the bolt in the sensor clamp 8-12 pound-inches.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU TURN THE NEUTRAL SHIFT CRANK IN THE UP
_______ DIRECTION. IF YOU INSTALL THE NEUTRAL SHIFT CRANK INCORRECTLY, THE STABILIZER CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU ENGAGE THE AUTOPILOT. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (f)  Install the crank arm on the sensor shaft.
 NOTE: Do not move the position of the sensor while you
____
 install the crank arm.

 (g)  
Align the index mark on the sensor shaft with the centerline of the crank arm.

 (h)  
Install the bolt, washer, and nut on the crank arm.

 (i)  
Tighten the bolt in the crank arm.

 ELEVATOR NEUTRAL SHIFT SENSOR - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains three tasks. The first two tasks are for the adjustment of the elevator neutral shift sensor. In the first task, you use the F80217-139 test set to do the adjustment. In the second task, you use the DFCS BITE (airplanes with -912 and on FCC) to do the adjustment. You can use one of these tasks to do the adjustment. The third task is the elevator neutral shift sensor test.
