(1) Do the current status quick test:
(a)
Push the INIT/REF key on the Flight Management Computer System (FMCS) Control Display Unit (CDU) (Fig. 501) to show the POS INIT page or PERF INIT page.
(b)
Push the line-select key (LSK) adjacent to <INDEX to show the INIT REF INDEX 1/1 page.
(c)
Push the LSK adjacent to MAINT> to show the MAINT BITE INDEX 1/1 page.
NOTE: It is not possible to get access to the MAINT BITE INDEX
____ page (the prompt MAINT> is not shown on the CDU display) if the airplane is in the air mode.

Push the LSK adjacent to <DFCS to show the DFCS BITE TEST LINE MAINT 1/2 page.
NOTE:____If the CDU display shows DFCS BITE INOP CHECK FCC OR INTERFACE, make a check of the DFCS BITE preconditions for the causes. Push the INIT REF key to get out of the BITE.
Push the LSK adjacent to <CURRENT STATUS from the DFCS BITE
TEST LINE MAINT 1/2 page.
Do the preparation steps as shown on the CDU display.
Push the LSK adjacent to <CONTINUE to start the quick test.
Make sure that the quick test is completed with no failure.
NOTE: If a failure occurs, the test will stop and the TEST
____ FAILED indication will show on the CDU display.

*[1] If library test 21 (Miscellaneous Test) fails, put code 100 into the CDU scratchpad then push LSK adjacent to RERUN>. If subtest 21.Q.112 on the FCC-B fails, the LRU fault should be PCWS XDUCER-CAPT instead of PCWS XDUCER-F/O. If subtest
21.Q.115 fails on the FCC-B side, the LRU fault should be PCWS XDUCER-F/O instead of PCWS XDUCER-CAPT.
(i) If a failure occurs, do these steps:
1) From the CDU display, make a note of the test name, the channel, and the LRU that caused the failure.
