Make sure that the ADI command bar gradient is correct for the type and number of the ADI's installed.
(l)
Do the ADI part numbers check:
1) Make sure that the two ADIs have the same type and part numbers.
NOTE: If the ADI part numbers are not the same, refer to
____ the engineering department. Make sure that they use the correct FCC pin for the ADIs which are installed on the airplane.
(m)
Close the AFCS B FCC DC circuit breaker on the P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel.
(n)
Open the AFCS A FCC DC circuit breaker on the P18-1 Circuit Breaker Panel.
(o)
Do the steps (b) thru (l) for the channel B.
(p)
Close the AFCS A FCC DC circuit breaker on the P18-1 Circuit Breaker Panel.
(q)
Push the INIT/REF key on the CDU keyboard to get out of the BITE.
G. BITE Ground Functional Test

(1) Do the quick test:
(a)
Push the INIT/REF key on the CDU keyboard to show the POS INIT page or PERF INIT page.
(b)
Push the LSK adjacent to the <INDEX to show the INIT REF INDEX 1/1 page.
(c)
Push the LSK adjacent to MAINT> to show the MAINT BITE INDEX 1/1 page.
(d)
Push the LSK adjacent to <DFCS to show the DFCS BITE TEST LINE MAINT 1/2 page.
(e)
Push the NEXT PAGE key on the CDU to show the DFCS BITE TEST OVERNIGHT MAINT 2/2 page.
(f)
Push the LSK adjacent to <GROUND FUNCTIONAL.

NOTE:____ The CDU display will show TEST IN PROGRESS during a 13-second cross-channel test.
(g) (h) (i) (j) (k) (l) (m) Follow the CDU instructions until the CHANNEL SELECTION page is shown on the CDU.Push the LSK adjacent to <CHANNEL A AND B.Push the LSK adjacent to <COMPLETE TESTS. 1) Push the LSK 6R.Do the preparation steps as shown on the CDU.Push the LSK adjacent to <CONTINUE to start the quick test.During this test, follow the instructions and push the LSK adjacent to <CONTINUE as shown on the CDU.Make sure that the quick test is completed with no failure.
NOTE:____ If a failure occurs, the test will stop and the TEST FAILED indication will show on the CDU display.

*[1] If library test 21 (Miscellaneous Test) fails, put code 100 into the CDU scratchpad then push LSK adjacent to RERUN>. If subtest 21.Q.112 on the FCC-B fails, the LRU fault should be PCWS XDUCER-CAPT instead of PCWS XDUCER-F/O. If subtest
21.Q.115 fails on the FCC-B side, the LRU fault should be PCWS XDUCER-F/O instead of PCWS XDUCER-F/O.
(n) If a failure occurs, do these steps:
1) From the CDU display, make a note of the test name, the channel, and the LRU that caused the failure.
NOTE: Before you replace a defective component, do the
____ BITE on the system (if it is applicable) and on other FMS interface subsystems with the defective components.
