 (4)  Make sure that you open the screen doors (if installed) for tire burst protection purpose in the left main wheel well.
 E. Procedure
 S 434-015
 (1)  Lightly lubricate the new O-ring on the reducer and the union with hydraulic fluid. Install the reducer and the union in the ports on the actuator.
 NOTE: Install the reducer in the pressure port of the actuator.

Make sure that you fill the actuator with hydraulic fluid. Seal the reducer and the union with plugs.

Hold the actuator in position and install the mounting bolts, washers, and nuts.


 NOTE: Make sure that the countersunk side of the washer is against

 the head of the bolt.

 (4)  Place the lever assembly on the actuator and carefully align the splines.
 NOTE: The position of a tooth not on the spline provides the

 access.

If you removed the lever assembly from the rod assembly then install the bolt(s), washer(s), and nut(s), that attach the lever assembly to the rod assemblies.

Install the clamp-bolt, washer, and nut to attach the lever assembly to the actuator, then install the washer and nut on the output shaft of the actuator. Tighten the nut on the output shaft, and then tighten the clamp-bolt.

Remove the plugs from the hydraulic lines and the plugs on the reducer and the union. Connect the hydraulic lines to the hydraulic ports on the actuator.

Remove the plug from the hydraulic port on the actuator. Install the hydraulic pressure switch on the actuator.

Connect the electrical connectors to the actuator and the hydraulic pressure switch.

 Do a check of the actuator for hydraulic leak.

 (a)  
Supply the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 (b)  
Supply the hydraulic power (Ref 29-15-00/201).

 


 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU MOVE PERSONS AND BLOCKAGES AWAY FROM
_______ THE AILERONS, RUDDER, ELEVATORS, AND TABS. THESE SURFACES MAY MOVE WHEN YOU APPLY THE HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (c)  
Supply the hydraulic pressure to the aileron hydraulic systems A and B (Ref 27-11-00/201).

 (d)  
Visually examine the actuator and make sure that there is no hydraulic leak.

 Adjust the autopilot aileron actuator (AMM 22-11-25/501).

 (12)
 Do the autopilot aileron actuator test (AMM 22-11-25/501).


 F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Initial Condition

 (1)  
Install the screen doors (if removed) for tire burst protection purpose in the left main wheel well.
