L. Alpha (Angle-of-Airflow) Vane Rigging Test (for the Rosemount Vanes)

(1) Open these circuit breakers on the P18-3 Circuit Breaker Panel to remove the alpha vane heating power:
(a)
R ALPHA VANE HEATER
(b)
L ALPHA VANE HEATER

(2) Do the left alpha vane rigging test:
(a)
Install the angle-of-airflow sensor calibration tool on the left alpha vane.
(b)
Set the automatic remote vane postioning tool to show 0.0 degree.
(c)
Push the INIT/REF key on the CDU keyboard to show the POS INIT page or PERF INIT page.
(d)
Push the LSK adjacent to <INDEX to show the INIT REF INDEX 1/1 page.
(e)
Push the LSK adjacent to MAINT> to show the MAINT BITE INDEX 1/1 page.
(f)
Push the LSK adjacent to <DFCS to show the DFCS BITE TEST LINE MAINT 1/2 page.
(g)
Push the NEXT PAGE on the CDU keyboard to show the DFCS BITE TEST OVERNIGHT MAINT 2/2 page.
(h)
Push the LSK adjacent to <SENSOR VALUES.
(i)
Push the LSK adjacent to <ANALOG SIGNALS.
(j)
Push the LSK adjacent to <CONTINUE to show the 56.02 ALPHA VANE POS screen.
(k)
Make sure that CDU display shows 14.0 |1.5 degrees for the A side.
(l)
Set the automatic vane positioning tool to +10.0 degrees.
(m)
Make sure that the CDU display shows a positive angle of 24.0 |1.5 degrees for the side A.
(n)
Set the automatic vane positioning tool to -10.0 degrees.
(o)
Make sure that the CDU display shows a positive angle of 4.0 |1.5 degrees for the side A.
(p)
Remove the angle-of-airflow sensor calibrator tool from the left alpha vane.

(3) Do the right alpha vane rigging test:
(a)
Install the angle-of-airflow sensor calibration tool on the right alpha vane.
(b)
Set the automatic remote vane positioning tool to 0.0 degree.
(c)
Make sure that the CDU display shows 14.0 |1.5 degrees for the B side.
(d)
Set the automatic vane positioning tool to +10.0 degree.
(e)
Make sure that the CDU display shows a positive angle of 24.0 |1.5 degrees for the side B.
(f)
Set the automatic vane positioning tool to -10.0 degree.
