Attach the DO-NOT-OPERATE tags to the control columns.

Open the 1103 forward access door at the lower nose (Ref 12-31-11/201).

Remove the force transducer:
(a)
Disconnect the force transducer connectors.
(b)
Remove the force transducer cables.
(c)
Wind the force transducer cables off the shaft assembly spool. Identify and write down the direction of each cable.
(d)
Remove the two mounting bolts, washers, and nuts that attach the force transducer to the aileron drum assembly.
(e)
Remove the force transducer.

(1) Find the ac null and the dc analog null of the new force transducer:
(a)
Connect the force transducer to the test set.
(b)
Measure and write down the null voltage.
(c)
Connect the force transducer to the system wire.
(d)
Close these circuit breakers:
1) P6 Circuit Breaker Panel a) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B MACH TRIM AC b) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B MACH TRIM DC c) AFDS MCP CRS-2 d) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B SNSR EXC AC e) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B FCC DC f) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B ENGAGE INTLK B g) AUTO FLT CONT SYS B WARN LIGHT BAT
2) P18 Circuit Breaker Panel a) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A MACH TRIM AC b) AUTO FLT CONT SYS A MACH TRIM DC c) AFDS MCP DC d) AIRPLANES WITH MECHANICAL AILERON FORCE LIMITER;

(e) Measure and write down the voltage on the FCC test connector (J7-11).
