NOTE: Test 51.04 is for the sensor signal and the mechanical offset
____ check. Two degrees of feedback sensor signal will cancel the elevator movement of 2 degrees.
(a) Continue with the instructions until test 51.04 shows on the CDU.

(4) Adjust the sensor:
(a)
Lightly loosen the screw on the sensor clamp.
(b)
Turn the sensor housing clockwise slowly until the CDU display shows -1.35 +/-0.05 volts.
NOTE: At the end of the sensor shaft, you can find the
____ index mark on the sensor housing. Turn the sensor counterclockwise approximately 6 degrees against the index mark on the sensor clamp.
(c)
Tighten the clamp screw 8 to 12 pound-inches.
(d)
Remove the lockwire from the thumb nut on the microadjustment rod.
(e)
Turn the thumb nut until you get -1.35 +/-0.03 volts.
(f)
Install the lockwire on the thumb nut.
(g)
Push the INIT REF key on the CDU to get out of the BITE.
(h)
Install the 3802 access door on the tail cone.

Push the LSK adjacent to <INDEX.

(e)
Make sure that the DFCS BITE TEST LINE MAINT 1/2 page shows on the CDU.
