(i)
Event 9 - A radio altitude of less than 50 feet (flare).
(j)
Event 10 - The true air speed (TAS) is not valid.
(k)
Event 11 - Selected IRU magnetic track is not valid.
(l)
Event 12 - Selected IRU roll angle is not valid.
(m)
Event 13 - Selected IRU magnetic heading is not valid.
(n)
Event 14 - Compass tranferred (Attitude to Both on 2) without either A/P in CMD and both F/D on.
(o)
Event 15 - Attitude transferred (Attitude to Both on 2) from the normal position without either A/P in CMD or both F/D on.
(p)
Event 16 - AC bus transferred from the normal position without either A/P in CMD and both F/D on. However, the CMD output is transferred to the unaffected system.
(q)
Event 17 - VHF NAV transferred from the normal position without either A/P in CMD and both F/D on.
(r)
Event 18 - The VHF Navigation System in autotune.
(s)
Event 19 - F/D Comparator produces Bar Bias when there is a 3° difference between the Captain's and the F/O's F/D commands for more than 3 seconds.
(5) The pitch bar bias Fig. 22, is used to bias the F/D bar out of view if information is confusing or not reliable. The matrix displays the events and associated mode that will generate pitch bar bias. The following provides an explanation of significant events.
(a)
Event 1 - Flight director off.
(b)
Event 2 - Flight director on but a mode not selected.
(c)
Event 3 - A VOR frequency is tuned and the foreign A/P is in CMD with GS engaged.
(d)
Event 4 - Radio altimeter is not valid. A 2 second delay allows for short interrupts in the GS engage mode.
(e)
Event 5 - The GS is not valid. A one-second delay allows for short interrupts.
(f)
Event 6 - This condition specifies that the A/P is in a speed mode and the airplane should be gaining altitude but is not climbing and is approaching a stall.
(g)
Event 7 - This condition specifies that the A/P is engaged in a speed mode and should be descending but is not and at the same time exceeding the VMO/MMO limits.
